JOSH GRACIN with opening act Shawn Mayer -Friday, July 17, 2009
Josh Gracin’s life overflows with extraordinary, character-building stories. He’s one of only three solo country artists in recent years to release a debut album with three consecutive Top 5 country hits (including the No. 1 hit “Nothin’ to Lose”). He’s also one of only three new male country singers to be introduced in the last three years to earn a gold album, and Gracin’s self titled debut, “We Weren’t Crazy”, is quickly edging in on platinum status.

He first entered America’s homes as one of the most charismatic and distinctive performers in the second season of American Idol, the first to bring country music to the pop-oriented hit show.

Josh Gracin’s top hit singles include:

“I Want to Live”,
“Nothin’ to Lose”,
“Stay with Me (Brass Bed)”,
"We Weren’t Crazy”,
“Telluride”
“Favorite State of Mind”.

THE GUESS WHO with opening act The Nadas - Saturday, July 18, 2009
THE GUESS WHO
with opening act
The Nadas

Saturday, July 18, 2009
Tickets $15 per person

As the house lights fade down and the stage spots flair up, the sounds of rock and roll with classic sensibilities and progressive nuances permeate the crowd. At first a familiar chord strikes everyone’s attention, then comes a catchy chorus followed by a memorable solo or remarkable moment of improvisation.

The name of the band is none other than THE GUESS WHO, a group that’s connected with the masses throughout an exultant hit parade including “These Eyes” “Clap for the Wolfman”, “Hand Me Down World”, “No Time”, “Star Baby” and “Share the Land”. Add in fellow classics and double sided singles like the rock anthem “American Woman” and “No Sugar Tonight,” plus “Laughing” and “Undun,” and the Canadian bred stateside conquerors are amongst music’s most indelible treasures who are eternally etched within the very fabric of pop culture history.

“You’re going to see an excellent version of the songs and hear exactly how they should sound or be played,” verifies founding member and original drummer/songwriter Garry Peterson.

Those who best understand Phil Vassar – good-time, whirling-dervish-on-the-piano, hardest-working-man-in –country-music Phil Vassar – also understand the ongoing evolution of his mostly self-penned music.

The Virginia-born singer, songwriter and musician took his seat as country’s leading piano man with the success of songs like “Just Another Day In Paradise” and “Six-Pack Summer,” and his penchant for pure musical escapism continues. Vassar’s heart-swelling embrace of life’s richest blessings is also apparent, especially on lead single “Love Is A Beautiful Thing.” At the same time, his writing has grown more introspective and personal, as “This Is My Life” and the title track can attest.

Phil Vassar’s devotion to family is one of the reasons that he has become increasingly contemplative and emotional with his music. He considered his place in the world with “American Child,” addressed hard questions of faith in “This Is God” and explored that which truly brings meaning in his most recent smash, last year’s “Last Day Of My Life.”

Vassar is not only famed for his musical talent and outstanding performances, but also as a captivating songwriter. He scored hits with Alan Jackson (“Right On The Money”), Tim McGraw (“For A Little While”), Jo Dee Messina (“Bye Bye,” “I’m Alright”) and BlackHawk (“Postmarked Birmingham”). His self-titled artist debut bowed in 2000 on Arista/Nashville, and the hits continued to pile up: “Carlene,” “Rose Bouquet,” “That’s When I Love You,” “In A Real Love” and more.

Look for new up-and-coming-hits “Around Here Somewhere,” “Save Tonight For Me” or “It’s Only Love.” Also, “I Would” and “Let Me Love You Tonight.”
